Do you remember Karrie Brown? Four years ago, Karrie was spotlighted in a United Way  story. She’s a Collinsville, Illinois resident born with Down syndrome who found it difficult forming relationships and performing activities many take for granted every day. But with the help of United Way supported YMCA of Southwest Illinois, Karrie blossomed into an outgoing, ambitious young woman who modeled for the national clothing company Wet Seal. Today, she continues to thrive and accomplish her dreams.
