10 Dr. Seuss Quotes That Can Change Your Life

March 2 marks Dr. Seuss’ 110th birthday. Most of us best know him for his silly, nonsensical rhymes and the author of over 40 children’s books. To honor his birthday, we have compiled a list of 10 quotes that go well beyond the pages of his famous books and can be applied to the lives of young and old, there or here, big and small, far or near.

  1. “And will you succeed? Yes, you will indeed! 98 and ¾ percent guaranteed.”
  2. “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
  3. “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”
  4.  “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
  5. “You’ll miss the best things if you keep your eyes shut.”
  6. “Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.”
  7. “Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.”
  8. “With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet, you’re too smart to go down any not-so-good street.”
  9. “Step with care and great tact, and remember that life’s a great balancing act.”
  10.  “A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
