2007 Wage and Benefit Survey Results

This section of United Way of Greater St. Louis’ 2007 Nonprofit Wage and Benefits Survey includes information on 85 broad positions, each representing a variety of organizational titles. In all, over 10,600 positions at 262 local nonprofit agencies are represented in this report. The information was collected via a web-based survey instrument in late 2007.

This report represents the most comprehensive information on nonprofit salaries available in the Greater St. Louis Region. The information is presented in a variety of ways to provide as much information as possible. Where categorical information was missing or might possibly lead to the identification of individuals, information was classified into an “All Others” category.

Included in the report is the overall monthly salary information for each position including the median, mean, minimum, and maximum salary for each position. Also included are cross tabulations by size of agency, tenure in position, agency field of service, highest degree attained, and a chart showing the degree requirements for each position.

In the near future two additional reports based on the 2007 Nonprofit Wage and Salary Survey will be released. These reports will document nonprofit executive compensation and nonprofit employee fringe benefits in the Greater St. Louis Region.
