Des Lee Fellowship

The Des Lee Fellowship is designed to cultivate the next generation of philanthropists.

In the Des Lee Fellowship, college juniors combine a 10-week summer internship with a year-long commitment to leadership and community service. The program prepares students to foster community engagement, philanthropy and volunteerism, as well as lead others in making meaningful change in their communities.

  • Raise United Way funds to help people in our community by supporting health and human service programs and agencies
  • Facilitate a grant funding program that will enable students to champion philanthropic efforts and bring meaningful change within the community
  • Promote volunteerism and offer opportunities to engage in the community
  • Help students get connected with leaders and organizations from throughout the region

Student United Way has an active presence on the campus of St. Louis University and Washington University, and is expanding throughout the year.
